Bonobos is looking for a rockstar Office Manager to run our Palo Alto office.
Bonobos West is opening in February 2012 and we've learned the hard way that opening an office without an Office Manager is a recipe for disaster. As the Office Manager of Bonobos West, you'll be responsible for turning a big empty box into a functioning, efficient office space for our Technology and Ninja teams. Internet? They'll need it! Desks? Better build 'em! Pens? It's like they have legs!
A strong work ethic, positive energy and high levels of empathy and judgment are paramount to this position. And since we're the fastest growing apparel brand ever launched on the Internet, your job will be fast paced and constantly evolving. The office will open in the beginning of 2012 with a few of our awesome employees and will grow rapidly over the course of the year. We'll need a rockstar that can support this growth while maintaining that small office feel that our team cherishes and our culture thrives on. And, since Bonobos was named one of the Crain's Top Places to Work in NYC (2011), you will play a huge role in ensuring that Bonobos West can not only continue that legacy of cultural greatness, but build upon it with fervor. You'll be responsible for everything from ordering office supplies to coordinating monthly team outings and working with our NYC Office Manager to ensure that all new hires are processed accordingly. - Can read people/situations faster than you can read the latest issue of US Weekly, which means you can sense when something isn't right and fix it before anyone even notices
- Take ownership of your office & want everyone to feel comfortable in their home away from home; likewise, you never let them forget the importance of being presentable
- Are even-keeled while being driven by a sense of urgency
- Have at least 1-3 years in an Office Management or high level Administrative position
- Are an excellent, clear and polite communicator, both in person & via email
- Are tired of the stuffy, corporate world & want a fresh & ambitious environment where you can add real value & contribute your ideas
- Revel in being a self-starter & proactively seek out opportunities to learn & improve both yourself & the processes around you
